bighforheatereather Ballentine is a country girl, right down to her roots. Raised in Arkansas, she has been singing and writing for as long as she can remember. Thanks to her father's love of traditional country and 50's music, her early influences were before her time. As a girl she became a fan of Patsy Cline, Johnny Cash, Elvis, Roy Orbison, Linda Ronstadt, Alison Krauss, and Dwight Yoakam. Her retro vocal style distinguished her among her fellow classmates at TU, where she graduated with a B.A. in Musical Theater.

During college, Heather modeled for the Linda Layman Agency and was selected for the Catalina Swimwear campaign, which featured her in their advertisements and on the catwalk. She placed top-ten in the Miss Arkansas Pageant, and was the overall swimsuit winner, which assisted in paying for her education. After graduation from TU, Heather was cast to star as "Ado Annie" in Discoveryland USA's professional production of "Oklahoma". Performing 6 nights a week, for 3 straight months in a sold-out amphitheater, gave Heather a taste of stardom and she yearned for more. She packed her bags and moved to LA to pursue her music, acting, and modeling career.

In LA, Heather met 4 aspiring musicians with whom she collaborated. The band toured 10 countries performing for American troops through The AFE, DOD, and MCCS. After entertaining the troops, Heather received a personal letter and rave reviews from the US Pentagon for her "Outstanding Performance" on tour. While attending a live concert, Movie Tunes VP Bob Martin, recognized the potential and immediately placed their music in heavy rotation in 20,000 movie theaters across the country. Heather and her band continued to build their fan base and tour, opening for major acts. They were featured in The Wall Street Journal and noted as "Artist to Watch".

As a SAG & AFTRA actress Heather has had speaking roles on General Hospital, independent films and network television shows. She has also starred in National and Regional commercials. As a songwriter, Heather's music is regularly placed in television shows and movies.

With the drive to succeed, the support of her band, and experience, Heather is now embarking on a solo music career. She is reviving her traditional roots while maintaining her modern edge. Heather has teamed up with producer/engineer Michael Dumas to create her own signature sound that appeals to country, rockabilly and bluegrass audiences alike. To see her live show is to fall in love with her southern charm. Her style is refreshingly retro, unique, and unforgettable. She is the full package.
